Hydromix

Magnesium based blend

Hydromix is the commercial name of the range of Magnesium Hydroxide (Hydrofy) – and Magnesium Carbonate (Magfy) – based flame retardant blends produced by Nuova Sima.

Hydromix has been especially developed to optimize flame properties and processability in a unique solution. Magnesium Hydroxide enhances the flame retardant properties while Magnesium Carbonate improves the processability of compounds.

Hydromix application in PVC and rubber compounds provides the following advantages:

• Increase in LOI (Limiting Oxygen Index)

• Reduction of smoke density and acidity

• Optimal processability and dispersibility, even at high filler loadings
